Policies and Billing

THANK YOU for learning with us! Our Educational Specialists reserve time on their schedules, plan lessons, and invest in the long-term development of each student. To provide regular, quality instruction we ask that the following policies are observed. We want every student to receive every lesson. We love watching our students become confident learners and we want you and your students to benefit and enjoy the journey as much as we do.

Tuition is billed on the 23rd of the preceding month and is non-refundable. In the case of severe illness or emergency, we will do our best to reschedule your appointment within the following 14 days. However, due to limited availability, we cannot guarantee that a new appointment time will become available.

Appointments canceled for reasons other than severe illness or emergency will not be eligible for rescheduling. Clients who are frequently unable to attend appointments may be asked to discontinue their participation in our program.

If your clinician is unable to provide the session due to their absence, your next invoice will be adjusted accordingly. Our monthly tuition bill has already been adjusted for days we are closed. The dates we are closed are listed below and are updated each school year.

In addition to our cancellation policy, we would like to highlight our commitment to providing high quality services based on the latest evidence-based programs. Our policies and fees reflect this commitment and are designed to ensure that our clients receive the best possible care.

Scheduling

Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer schedules are made according to your school calendar. Summer scheduling begins for your child when their school is finished for the year. School Districts and Private Schools are all on different schedules so there is often overlap in our schedules with children ending and beginning their personal school year. Make sure you let us know asap what your summer needs are as calendars fill up quickly.

Closed Dates 2023-24:

Labor Day (Monday, Sept 4)
Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov 23) and Black Friday (Nov 24)
Winter Break (Wednesday, Dec 20, 2023 through Tuesday, Jan 2, 2024); Classes resume Wednesday, January 3.
MLK Jr Day (Monday, Jan 15)
Presidents Day (Monday, Feb 19)
Spring Break: Our office is not closed for any particular “Spring Break” week, because they vary by School District.
Memorial Day (Monday, May 27)
Independence Day (Thursday, July 4)

Weather Closures

Our office DOES NOT CLOSE automatically for “snow days” as declared by any particular School District. Most days the roads are clear by noon. If our office is closed due to weather, we will meet with students on Zoom.
